Delle Maxwell
she/her Co-Founder and President
Delle serves as president of the Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation. Before co-founding the Foundation she was an animator and designer working at the intersection of design and computing.
Her early interest in technology and design began when she discovered a jacquard loom at the Rhode Island School of Design and figured out how to program it. Thinking algorithmically sparked her interest in using computers to create images and animations while at MIT’s Architecture Machine Group. Her work in computer graphics ranged from animated television graphics to award-winning mathematical visualizations to pioneering graphical user interface design.
Delle also is committed to the connection of people with plants and nature. She serves on the board of the Gardens of Golden Gate Park and is a volunteer for the master gardener program of San Mateo and San Francisco Counties.
